Caffeine Has Healthy Benefits But Increases The Level Of Stress

Many people drink a coffee in the morning because it boosts the mood and sets the mind on an alert mode. However, this might not be a good idea for back pain sufferers, especially if they wake up with a backache. The cause could be an injury, poor posture, or even sleeping in an uncomfortable position. Coffee has health benefits for the body, but it also increases the level of stress, increasing the secretion of cortisone, the hormone that prepares the body for potential danger. Cortisol also causes an increase in insulin, resulting in inflammation, which is one of the causes of lower back pain. However, in the case of chronic inflammation, when the cortisol levels decrease because the body can’t stand constantly having excessive cortisol production, the body has more problems dealing with stress. This triggers pain all over the body, including the back. In fact, it gets worse in the back because it is more sensitive to pain.
