Dentists Are Addressing Ways To Deal With Their Patient’s Anxiety To The Dental Exam    




Dentist anxiety is a result of the fear the patient has to dental treatment pain or to the dental drill. Some estimates show that about 60% of the people have dentist anxiety. However, there is a more extreme case in 5 to 10% of the patients, described as dental phobia, in which del delay as much as possible the visit to the dentist, and can have a panic attack in the exam room. Dentists are aware of this and have created at least seven scales to measure the fear and anxiety in order to determine the best approach. Click here for more info.
